It includes 288 works (built between 1974-2010), GPS coordinates and maps.

Traço Alternativo Arquitectos Associados, is responsible for the selection, as well as, the treatment and organization of content.

The Guide´s presentation text was written by Architect Álvaro Siza Vieira.

The most awarded and prestigious Portuguese architect affirms that: “The publication of a Guide to Contemporary Architecture in Portugal is of evident usefulness. (...) The first volume, already published, refers to the north and centre of the country, illustrating through maps, photographs and texts, a significant selection of works built since 1974. (...) I can personally foresee the interest the publication of this Guide will arouse. (...) The demand for Architectural Guides, not only by architects, seems to accompany the habit and generalized joy of travelling.”

It is a bilingual publication (Portuguese / English) with a “travel guide” format that promotes the work of a wide scope of architects, including most of the works by the two Portuguese winners of the Pritzker Prize – Álvaro Siza Vieira and Eduardo Souto Moura, built in the geographical area covered by this Guide.
