TThe project for the Júlio Pomar Museum-Atelier proposed to renovate the existing building on the Rua do Vale, n. 7, in Lisbon. The proposal maintained the volume of the building, removing the later constructions inside the plot. The access to the atelier is made through a courtyard to the west and south, being the floor of the south courtyard a ramp. In this same courtyard lies a lift and the access stairway to the 2nd floor. In this way, the works to be carried out included: demolition of existing annexes attached to the building, construction of an attached volume for reception and toilets; creation of a mezzanine floor with a central void; a body for vertical access, including stairs and elevator, technical floor in the basement under the access ramp; restoration of the roof (wood and Marseille tile) and its thermal insulation keeping the template. In the main façade, over the Rua do Vale, three new spans were created following the design and the metric of the existing ones.
